The Management and Development Team at Derwent Lodge in the Lake District

Raymond W Blackburn

Ray has 18 years’ experience of hotel management and has the asset of local knowledge being from the nearby area. He has extensive experience of worldwide hotel management having been based in China, Hong Kong and Africa. In addition to his key role in the development of Derwent Lodge, Ray runs his own development company.

Julie L Harrison

Julie has an extensive background in hotel management and development, particularly in The Lake District. Raised in Cockermouth and Workington, Julie is well-versed in accounts and administration.

Additional Staff

In addition to the hands-on Management Team there will be a Manager responsible for the day-to-day running of the lodge and to oversee the following expected staffing structure:

• Maintenance Manager with two staff
• Two room-cleaning staff
• Four pool/Spa staff
• Bar & bistro staff
• Six beauty salon staff
• Two gift & convenience store staff
