Lisop, formed in August 1981, has quickly stamped its unique mark on the Portuguese real estate market finding its vocation by dealing directly with each aspect of a development it undertakes. Thus LISOP has, since the beginning,
taken responsibility for all variables of the projects it undertakes; choice of location; creating and establishing a winning concept; an architectural and construction team that can see the big picture and fulfill the grand vision; planning; and also ensuring that the sales and marketing truly reflects the committment, hard work and creativity that has gone into each project.
In order to do this whilst maintaining an agile structure, LISOP has surrounded itself with safe and trustworthy partners allowing each project to form a solid and coherent proposition to the market.
LISOP is proud of having designed, built and sold some of the most notable and best developments in Portugal, for the medium-high and high market segments.
Today, with over 320,000 m2 built, in over 20 separate projects – from urban apartments to office buildings, particularly falling into the categories of first and second homes, LISOP is increasingly focused on international markets which represent excellent investment opportunities in Portugal.
A word from the Architects of Sesimbra Bay Resort
The magnificent ocean views and the natural hillside setting were the key elements behind the interior design concept. All the chosen finishes give us a sense of continuity between inside and outside.
The wooden floors of living rooms and bedrooms are a colour match to the outside decking of terraces and porches.
The transparency to the views is guaranteed by full pane glass windows and glass railings.
All finishes in the living areas are very natural and neutral with woods, white painted walls and white lacquered doors, which allow the interior decoration to subtly stand out with its ocean tones inspired fabrics.
The kitchens in most cases are separated by sliding doors that can be opened and become part of the living area, functionality was the key element. High gloss finished cabinets, stainless steel counters and ceramic flooring make for very modern and user friendly spaces.
The criteria for the bathrooms was similar, practical, clean and here again, the ocean tones were an inspiration to the enamelled glass finished walls.
The harmony with the outside settings combined with a modern and practical use of space was always present in the design concept.

THE SESIMBRA DIFFERENCE
Sesimbra Bay Resort is by all means a unique development. Set up on the western hillside of one of Portugal’s most typical fishermen town, the private condominium overviews the entire bay and surrounding hills from almost every designed apartment.
When we first set foot on the site its natural entirely south faced pitch (over 30%) and altitude at mid hill (thus protected from the northwesterly dominant winds) were the key elements for the almost immediate architectural solution that came to our minds. The terraced condominium of Sesimbra Bay blends with the site’s topography as if it had always been there. Designed in 3 and 4-storey apartment blocks with all south facing units, the three villas hold roundabout 204 one, two and three-bedroom apartments fully equipped and furnished.
Architecture at Sesimbra Bay is a tribute to the sun and privileged weather of this coastal region: large balconies overviewing the gardens and pools in the foreground. Surrounded by a stunning 180º panoramic view of…. the Atlantic ocean. Cantilivered precast concrete rooftops, wooden decked varandas and large glazed livings and master bedrooms, all contribute to bring Portugal’s unique natural daylight into your home. Sliding shading panels along the balconies’ handrail allow for maximum privacy and outdoor dining whenever desired. Low density and low-rise villas contribute to the sense of being part of a restricted and outstanding environment.
Open air parking is kept to a minimum along the access road in favour of a carefully designed landscape. Most residents and visitors have their own underground spot close to their unit’s lift and stairwell.
The view is breathtaking. In Sesimbra you will spend most of your time at home……in contemplation.
